What is the Y4Y iSummit? •

The Y4Y iSummit is an annual virtual gathering that empowers, mobilizes and amplifies youth who are taking action towards a healthier, more inclusive and ethical digital world. We are the largest known gathering of youth advocates, innovators and changemakers committed to shifting social norms for a digital world full of opportunity and free from harm. We will be broadcasting from the U.S, the UK/Europe, and India this year.

The Y4Y iSummit brings diverse panelists together to share stories, provide insights, and discuss solutions on a multitude of issues related to digital media and technology (mental health). This is also an opportunity for youth to find and connect with others equally passionate about these issues.

Who is LookUp? •

LookUp is a youth-led social venture dedicated to helping young people thrive in the digital world. We empower youth leaders and advocates taking action to raise awareness, inspire, and design a healthier, more inclusive, and equitable digital world. Because youth agency is at the heart of our mission and an essential part of our programmatic DNA, we don’t tell them what to do. We ask them.

Why is this important? •

While half of American youth self-report that they are addicted to their devices, rates of depression, anxiety, and stress in youth continue to accelerate. The pressure of a 24/7 connected society and internet addiction is already identified as an epidemic by several governments, and our youth pays the price. However, we believe that the youth also has the power to tackle these challenges and help each other thrive in the digital world. At the Y4Y iSummit, attendees will gain a better understanding of the digital ecosystem and its impact on our mental health and well being. In addition, the youth learn more about how they can lead positive social change in their own communities, while meeting other young advocates and expanding their network.

Where will the Y4Y iSummit take place? •

The 2021 Y4Y iSummit will be virtual! Through the Whova web and app platform, we will stream all the events and you will have the opportunity to connect with thousands of advocates, as well as partner organizations and sponsors who have joined us in our mission for a healthier, more inclusive and equitable digital world. How do I sign up and how much do I have to pay for tickets? •

Attending the Y4Y iSummit 2021 is FREE! You can sign up here or through the registration box at the bottom of this page. Through a simple registration process, you will be able to access some of LookUp’s resources, as well as stay up to date with news and speakers for the event.

Do I have to attend all the panels? •

You can attend as many panels as you would like. We give you the resources, you use them the best way you can. We have 4 full days of panels and opportunities to learn about digital wellbeing and youth activism and you get to choose to get involved in what you are most interested in. Additionally, everything will be recorded for registered attendees so you can enjoy it and feel inspired at your own time!

How do I get involved? •
