Grownkid: Yearner’s Anonymous
An IRL digital wellbeing program helping young adults reconnect with themselves and others beyond online performance.
What is Yearner’s Anonymous?
Yearner’s Anonymous is a four-week, IRL digital wellbeing program that helps 18 to 24-year-olds rebuild authenticity, confidence, and community offline. Through guided storytelling and reflection, participants explore how digital culture shapes their identity and relationships, and practice showing up more intentionally online.
Problem
Young adults are experiencing a growing loneliness crisis intensified by digital culture that prioritizes performance, comparison, and emotional detachment. Many feel pressure to curate likable online identities while lacking real-world spaces where it feels safe to be honest, vulnerable, and fully themselves. This disconnect weakens confidence, communication skills, and healthy digital engagement.
Solution
Yearner’s Anonymous creates consistent, facilitated IRL spaces where young adults can explore identity, practice vulnerability, and build real community. By strengthening offline confidence and emotional connection, the program reduces reliance on digital validation and supports healthier, more intentional participation in online spaces.
