Inlet
“A space for what makes you feel better.”
Model & Strategy.
Descriptor.
Inlet (inlet.space) is a web app to create and share multimedia moodboards with music, art, writing, bookmarks, and more. For students who are stressed and unable to connect with traditional social media, we provide a creative tool and platform to gather and share what matters to them.
Problem.
Is there space on the internet for reflection, creativity, and sharing how we feel? Social media apps like Instagram and Snapchat have created a focus on crafting “perfect” images—leading to shame, anxiety, insecurity, and fear of missing out. Many teens know social media can damage their mental health. But they don’t have alternative platforms for self-expression and community, or private spaces to share art and music they love.
Solution.
Creating Inlet boards is a chance to reflect, express, and relax. It’s a chance to connect with people you care about. Inlet boards engage viewers to listen, read, and watch. Rather than focusing on likes and followers, Inlet can be a source of comfort and boost emotional and social wellbeing. Our vision is to not only build Inlet as a tool but also as a community focused on joy, solace, and sharing resources for mental wellness.
