This is the story of an entire generation raised on social media: a platform for young people to vocalize their experiences and reveal the alliance of youth digital wellness advocates building solutions. Turning vulnerability into a powerful voice, we empower you to become a part of the solution.
Problem.
There is a blatant discrepancy between how many young people are addicted to social media, and how many of them know it was designed to be that way. It took me years of self-inflicted guilt to realize my addiction to social media wasn't unique. It was the story of an entire generation that is ill-equipped with the knowledge required to fight back against our right to our time.
Solution.
"Our Subscription to Addiction" captures the testimonials of young people voicing their experiences on social media, introduces the work of youth digital wellness advocates, and features a series of interviews on youth opinions for a solution. The goal is for young people to realize they are not alone, that there are actionable solutions being developed by their peers, and that they have enough time and individual power to see them through.
